I use the .alt method. The other advantage is you can easily put them in as stylistic alternatives with very little work if you can't decide which one is better.5 -

Nothing to do with inflections but if you do an illuminated sign (illuminated from behind) with your font in translucent plastic surrounded by dark opaque plastic then don't have any very sharp poin…2 -

I can not speak for Dieter and I am not speaking for him but in my experience in the past his policy has been to approve his fonts for derivative work ONLY where the derivative work will be available…1 -
